You’ll also be helping a great cause – local groups support  the work of the charity and raise thousands of pounds every year for our conservation and access projects around the country .
About the group
Founded in 1972, the Sheffield Association has over 400 members. Many of them live in Sheffield and the surrounding area though there is no geographical limit on membership.  Membership is open to members of National Trust and affiliated organisations and to holders of a valid National Trust Volunteers Card.
Our objectives are to support and promote the National Trust and to make National Trust membership even more enjoyable by providing a varied programme of  activities for our members .

Properties that we have helped recently include:

Longshaw Estate- for school transport to the Activity centre.
Hardwick Hall- Embroidery Group, Panels for New Visitor Centre.
Peak District National Park Appeal  - in memory of Richard Wingfield
Fountains Abbey-Childrens Adventure Trail
Nostell Priory - Towards purchase of Contents
Bahamas Locomotive Society (Keighley ) - for the National Trust steam locomotive No.1054 built in 1888 ,to help complete overhaul and initial testing.
